The Ryo is a new edition of a design first produced by Danish cabinetmakers Hans Hansen & Son in the early 1940s at their workshop in Odense, Denmark. Ryo encapsulates the elegant, minimalist approach to upholstered furniture that was synonymous with Scandinavian design in the early 1940s. It offers a refined, classical balance to today’s contemporary interiors.
Ryo's internal frame is constructed from solid beech using traditional joinery methods, set atop European oak or American walnut feet. Ryo comes in a range of upholstery options, from smooth fabrics to mohair and sheepskin.
