The Karu series is a contemporary update of a classic design first produced in Finland by the Haimi Oy company in the early 1950s, the epitome of the post-war Nordic aesthetic. The versatile, classic design of the ottoman is a natural complement to other furniture in Danish design, or can be paired with the Karu armchair and sofa for a cohesive lounge family.
Karu's internal frame is constructed from solid beech using traditional joinery methods, set atop European oak or American walnut feet. Karu comes in a range of upholstery options, from smooth fabrics to mohair and sheepskin.
