First presented in 1949, the Folding Chair initially appears quite simple in design and straightforward in use; however, folded and hung on the wall, it becomes a beautiful piece of art. The modern and minimalistic construction exhibits the superb handling of two basic natural materials: solid wood and cane. Its wooden handles serve as hand-rests, but they also intersect with the otherwise continuing cane seat, causing an aesthetic deviation that balances the expanse of woven cane.
