Sampo Chair
This obscure design originated from the workshop of little-known Copenhagen upholsterer Christian Sorensen in the early 1940s. The flowing, organic silhouette is typical of early-period Danish Modern armchairs whilst retaining a striking contemporary feel. This new edition offers incredible comfort and aesthetics in equal measure, making it a perfect addition to contemporary living rooms and bedrooms. Sampo's classic form complements other Scandinavian designs — we especially recommend pairing it with its natural companion, the Sampo footstool.
Sampo's internal frame is constructed from solid beech, set atop hand-finished European oak or American walnut feet. Sampo comes in a range of upholstery options, from smooth fabrics to mohair and sheepskin.
